Continuity is the hard part to buy. With a large maintenance company you may get a different face every visit. The same goals for your garden, explained again. And again.
It's how the industry is built. Design work ends at handover. Maintenance crew rosters service and rotate.
Neither model is set up for the years it takes to nurture a garden into your vision.
